Exhibition in Malaysia
A few months ago a selection of prints from my Flower series were exhibited as part of the Open Salons South East Asia exhibition in Malaysia. I didn’t get to go myself there myself ;-( so here is someone else’s snaps of the installation.

THE BEGINNING
This is a rubbish picture from my first ever exhibition (…which was also pretty rubbish). It was 1998 in Café Woodstock, Norrköping, Sweden. I made the frames myself whilst on work-experience with the curators at Norrköping’s Art Museum.

SIMULACRUM EXHIBITION - PRIVATE VIEW PICTURES

These shots were taken at the private view of Elysium Gallery’s open exhibition Simulacrum in Swansea last year. Two of my Flower images were exhibited and by sheer coincident the curator hung them next to a beautiful image by Lauren Winsor. It is a coincident because I work with Lauren at University for the Creative Arts, where we both lecture on the Photography degree. Check out her work here: laurenwinsor.co.uk

Photographs above © Elysium Gallery/Owen Martin (unfortunately I wasn’t able to go myself)

86,062 exhibition at The Deaf Cat, Rochester

I’ve just added the exhibited artworks to my website for closer inspection… You can also have a look at Zara’s blog for more information about the project and for other upcoming exhibitions etc.

Remember that just because the exhibition has finished doesn’t mean you can’t buy the prints anymore; they are still for sale - just get in touch (£45 - 40x40cm or £125 - 90x90cm, digital c-type prints). There’s also the book I designed to coincide with the exhibition available for £20 on blurb

The exhibition is free to visitors and runs from April 8-28 and May 16-26, with an opening reception from 6-8pm on April 7.

Exhibiting Artists: Jennifer Baird, Ruth Homden, Paul O’Brien, Rikard Österlund, Alice Randall, Matt Rowe and Sandra McKears Johnson.

86,062 Private View

The opening night of the 86,062 exhibition was incredibly well received on Tuesday night. The Deaf Cat was packed full of people and the response to the exhibition was really positive. In fact, it has been given an extended run and will be up until Sunday 10th April so, in case you haven’t seen it, you have another week!
