due to the flood and the overflow

a book made in 2003 (…at the end of my second year at Uni) of pictures taken the year earlier on an Olympus MjuII. I remember feeling incredibly frustrated with the project work in the second year, but this little side project inspired me again.

I printed all the pages on an inkjet printer and then they were stitched together by a bookbinder in Bethnal Green.

Strictly limited edition of 13.

I’ve just added over 30 new images to my fashion portfolio -> www.rikard.co.uk

17 and pretentious.
This was one of the first times my images were published. It was a 1998 issue of the Swedish photography magazine Tidningen FOTO which I used to buy every month. Most of the images at that point were either cross-processed slide-film or, when black & white, printed on grade 4 or 5.

MY NEW WEBSITE IS LIVE!

If you have minute; grab a cuppa and have a look around!

www.rikard.co.uk

The website is designed by the amazing Alex Kent and showcases my commercial portfolio without any flashy distractions. It features a ton of improvements on my old site:

  • Pictures are viewed at the full size of your browser window.
  • Portfolios for Lifestyle, Buildings and People portfolios
  • Links to my Tumblr, Twitter feed, fine-art website and Linked-In account.
  • You can swipe through the portfolio on an iPad (not on an iPhone at this stage)

PS. I’ve been talking about this new site for aaaages (actually for over a year now…). So now it’s finally here I’d love to hear what you think? Send me your comments and if you like it, or any of the images on there; please help me spread the word! …as it happens you can post links to individual images via Facebook or Twitter!
